AH! That number keeps getting bigger, doesn’t it?
Hello everyone, it’s me again. Writing. March 24, 2020.
This morning I was awake from 2:00AM to 3:00AM so at least a slightly different time frame.
Let’s see – Oakland is still seemingly existent. Haven’t gone out to kick the tires in a little while. Will go on my much needed sanity walk this afternoon.
Still have a job for the time being. Extremely grateful! Will continue to update this fun fact as needed.
It’s so strange to see via my light Facebook and Instagram stalking that some people are still going out into the world. I feel like I’m living a few days in the future which gives me a strange sense of completely unearned power.
I’ll share some thoughts from the future.
If you somehow still have the option of taking this less seriously, please don’t. Whether you yourself or any of your loved ones contract COVID-19, your actions will influence the livelihood and well-being of others. Please take all the precautions possible.
If you’re concerned about what shelter in place will look like for you, you are not alone. It is scary. I completely understand that. However, it is also manageable. My life is still continuing, I’m still making plans for the future. I’m still able to meet my basic needs.
Not everyone will be able to work from home, and many people will lose their jobs. I feel that. I will likely be in the same boat. I don’t have much (any) money saved at this point having only recently found a stable job that I really liked. What’s that they say about making God laugh?
All I can say is to take things one day at a time. For every day you do have an income, be thankful, and I’ll do my best to share some resources here and/ or what resources I have personally. Here’s a link for people in California (although ya’ll are probably way ahead of me on this), and hopefully there are similar resources for different states.
Other things about the future. On the plus side, we have flying cars now! So, look forward to that!
I have also somehow come around on the whole technology thing. That’s wild. I’ve always hated technology, but I guess I can still learn and grow and change. Blah.
Here’s a link to my Shelter in Playlist.
Oh, and I’ve been teaching myself guitar for the last year or so, and I’m trying to upload a video of a depressing song that I wrote. No success yet, but I’ll keep you updated!
All the love from the future,
